Dubai, the land of luxury labels, shiny tall buildings and a culture that promotes facials above all else, seems overdue for a designer spa.
When it opens next month, The Lana is already set to claim the title as the first property from The Dorchester Collection in the Middle East. Clearly not content with just one inaugural launch, the hotel has announced it will also welcome the first-ever Dior Spa in the UAE, too.

Due to open in April on The Lana’s 29th floor – with floor-to-ceiling windows that not only bathe the space with the famous Dubai sun but also offer expansive views of city fixtures like the Burj Khalifa – the Dior Spa The Lana proposes to be the perfect respite from the bustling city below.
And like most things in its new-found home, the Dior Spa The Lana is far from on the small side, with its five treatment rooms, couple’s suite, dedicated beauty room and more totaling 4,395 sq ft.
The caliber of high-tech treatments is equally as impressive and exhaustive, with Icoone Therapy, Hydrafacial, Dior Micro-Abrasion, and the Dior Skin Light LED therapy each on offer.
Three signature treatments will also be exclusive to The Lana, including Escale at The Lana, a unique Japanese-inspired ritual that uses kneading, friction and percussion techniques with full-body stretching to relax both the body and mind; Dior Stone Therapy, which utilizes semi-precious stones that are strategically placed on the body to harmonize energy flow; and D-Sculpt, a body massage that combines the traditional benefits of wood, dry brushing and toning techniques with the manual “skin lift” method to offer anti-cellulite effects.
While this may be the first Dior-branded spa in the Middle East, it’s far from the first intertwinement between the fashion house and the Dorchester Collection – in fact, the French designer Christain Dior has had a longstanding and special relationship with Hôtel Plaza Athénée, the Dorchester Collection’s property in Paris long before his name was shared with his label. Not only is it the place where he showed his inaugural collection in 1974, but Hôtel Plaza Athénée is also home to the original Dior Spa. As its Middle Eastern counterpart, the Dior Spa The Lana is said to stay faithful to both its Francophile cousin and Dior’s original vision.

As well as its expansive treatment menu, the brand will also work closely with the hotel to craft personalized well-being escapes for each guest, tailored to their desires, needs and preferences. Whether that’s a memorable half-day of treatments combining cocktails or lunch to a full-day journey where the hotel’s Rolls-Royce is on hand to collect guests from their preferred location.
Fans of Dior’s beauty and skincare ranges will also have the opportunity to pursue and purchase products used in their treatments, as the spa also presents an elegant boutique showcasing Dior’s signature lines including Dior Prestige, Rouge Premier and La Collection Privée Christian Dior, the luxurious line of Dior’s unisex fragrances.
