The 2025 Michelin Guide Dubai has been revealed – and with it comes the announcement of the city’s very first three-Michelin-starred restaurants.
The launch of Dubai’s fourth Michelin guide takes the city’s total number of starred restaurants to 22. Taking the top award was FZN by Björn Frantzén, which opened in November 2024 in the flashy Atlantis The Palm hotel, and Trèsind Studio at St Regis Gardens, The Palm Jumeirah.
Trèsind Studio’s promotion to three stars is especially notable as it makes it the only Indian restaurant in the world to hold three Michelin stars. “We are deeply humbled to receive this extraordinary recognition,” said head chef Himanshu Saini.
“To be awarded three Michelin stars is a testament to our team’s unrelenting passion and belief in the power of storytelling through food. Our goal has always been to present Indian cuisine not just as nostalgic but as progressive and worthy of the world’s highest culinary accolades.”
“Dubai’s rapid transformation into a global culinary hub is testament to its diversity and excellence,” added international director of the Michelin Guide Gwendal Poullennec.

“As demonstrated by Trèsind Studio’s historic achievement of earning three Michelin stars in its fourth appearance – making it the first Indian restaurant worldwide to earn the Guide’s highest accolade – Dubai embraces a rich tapestry of flavors that reflect the world’s gastronomic passions.”
In another headline achievement, FZN by Björn Frantzén leapt straight from zero to three Michelin stars following its opening in less than six months ago – an almost unheard-of feat. The award makes chef Björn Frantzén the only chef in the world to run three different restaurants with three Michelin stars simultaneously.
“This recognition is an incredible honor, not just for me, but [for] my entire team. Receiving three Michelin stars for FZN is a proud moment for us and reflects the hard work and creativity of everyone involved,” said Frantzén.
“We always knew we wanted to launch a restaurant in Dubai, and selecting the right partner was paramount. We are grateful to the Atlantis Dubai team for supporting our journey and helping to bring to life our vision.”
Surprisingly, no restaurants made the jump from one to two Michelin stars, with that elite collection now down to just three members: Il Ristorante-Niko Romito, Row on 45 and STAY by Yannick Alléno.
Two restaurants – Jamavar and Manāo – were newly appointed with a single star, taking the total of one-Michelin-starred restaurants in Dubai to 14. No new Green stars were awarded, but five new Bib Gourmands (an award that recognizes ‘restaurants that offer high-quality food at a reasonable price’) were added to the list.
