The Lana in Dubai Unveils Its Restaurants Ahead of Opening

The Lana in Dubai, which will be opening early next year; has just revealed its restaurant collection.

By Bea Isaacson

The Lana in Dubai, the Dorchester Collection’s latest addition to its growing portfolio in the city and the luxury brand’s first Middle East hotel, has just announced its restaurant concepts ahead of its February 2024 opening.

In collaboration with acclaimed chefs Martín Berasategui, Jean Imbert and Angelo Musa, The Lana will be home to eight new dining establishments in Downtown Dubai, four of which will be commanded by the aforementioned chefs.

Architecture has been led by Foster + Partners, while interior design is by Gilles & Boissier; not to mention, of course, the exquisite service expected of a Dorchester Collection hotel.

The first restaurant within the hotel will be Jara by Martín Berasategui. With 12 Michelin stars under his belt, the restaurant, which offers a Basque-inspired menu rooted in connection and family, is the chef’s first restaurant in the Middle East.

Riviera by Jean Imbert, on the other hand, draws inspiration from both Imbert’s heritage and his travels. Also his first venture in the Middle East (but not his first with the Dorchester Collection, for he leads the culinary team at Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris), the sun-soaked space will offer a Mediterranean menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Imbert will also be heading the rooftop lounge and bar. Named High Society, the space offers views across Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa and will offer the most extensive selection of champagnes across the United Arab Emirates.

The third culinary space by the hotel’s assemblage of international chefs is Bonbon Café Angelo Musa, headed by Angelo Musa. Bringing the joy and glamour of a Parisian café to the heart of Dubai, the café offers a collection of sweet treats and savory snacks, including sandwiches, salads and cakes.
