NBA player Steph Curry has expanded the range of his whiskey brand, Gentleman’s Cut, with the launch of Player Exclusive – a 15 Year Old bourbon released to mark his 15th year in the NBA.
The blended whiskey – made up of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley – was first distilled in 2005 before resting in new oak barrels until 2020, when it was bottled. The resulting liquid is described as balanced, with notes of crème brulee, butterscotch, orange peel and cherry.
As with most celebrity bourbon releases, the real draw here is the star connection. Just 100 bottles of Player Exclusive are available to purchase, with each decanter individually numbered, signed by Curry and presented in a luxurious walnut wood box. The bottle’s topper is inscribed with the initials ‘T.C.C.’ in reference to Curry’s famous motto: ‘Trust, Commitment, Care.’

The Number 1 bottle was auctioned in April at the Golden State Warriors Foundation where it fetched $350,0000; subsequent bottles will retail at $4,500, plus tax.
Launched in 2023, Gentleman’s Cut marks Curry’s first foray into the spirits industry. Players Exclusive is the first ultra-premium release from the brand; its first, an eponymous bourbon, is aged for five to seven years, retails for around $80 and was generally well-reviewed by the wider whiskey industry.

Crafted under the wider Boone County Distilling Co. group, with which Curry is now partnered, both Gentleman’s Cut bourbons are distilled, aged and bottled by Game Changer Distillery in Boone County, Kentucky.
“I’ve learned over the years that life is best enjoyed in the close company of others,” Curry said of the brand’s launch. “[…] I’ve long found that these unforgettable evenings are often best enjoyed with a rich and nuanced Bourbon in hand, which is why I’m proud to have helped carefully craft a new signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon.”
