The Restaurant
Rare Steakhouse, situated within Encore Boston Harbor, presents a glamorous take on the classic steakhouse, complete with harbor views. The restaurant features a curated steak program, including exclusive Japanese cuts from Kobe and Kagoshima, as well as American wagyu. Rare is one of less than ten restaurants nationwide with true Kobe beef and the sole registered Kobe Beef Federation user in Massachusetts. Executive chef Megan Vaughan brings experience from top fine-dining establishments to the kitchen. Steaks are aged in a custom-built dry aging cabinet and served alongside inspired side dishes. The Forbes Travel Guide has rated Rare Steakhouse as the highest-rated steakhouse in Boston. As of February 2025, Rare Steakhouse does not have any Michelin stars.
