The Restaurant
Mugaritz, nestled in a farmhouse in Errenteria, offers a dining experience that transcends traditional gastronomy. Chef Andoni Luis Aduriz orchestrates a multisensory exploration, interweaving textures, stories, flavors, and emotions to stimulate and, at times, disconcert. The restaurant currently holds two Michelin stars. Aduriz, known for challenging culinary norms, presents a tasting menu designed to provoke thought and redefine the dining experience. Dishes may defy expectations, encouraging diners to question preconceived notions of taste and presentation. Mugaritz earned its first Michelin star in 2000, followed by a second in 2005, solidifying its place among the world's most innovative restaurants. The experience extends beyond the plate, with a kitchen garden boasting over one hundred varieties of herbs, fruits, and flowers.
