The Restaurant
Mako, a West Loop omakase experience, is chef B.K. Park's passion project. Veteran chef Park presents a creative exploration of pristine fish, showcasing unique cuts and luxury ingredients with contemporary twists. The entrance, marked by a lone plaque, leads to an intimate space where the team's dedication to sushi is immediately apparent. With only 22 seats, Mako offers a smartly considered tasting menu. The chef and itamae showcase their style through unique adornments, such as sudachi juice and sesame-pepper soy. Cooked items are equally enticing, with braised abalone and black cod with burnt scallion ponzu. Mako has earned one Michelin star, a testament to its high-quality cooking.
