These days luxury fashion labels are branching out far beyond clothing alone, with major brands opting to open their own restaurants, cocktail bars, and galleries. Fendi is the latest design powerhouse to step outside the confines of fashion, unveiling its very first beach club at the exclusive Puente Romano Beach Resort along Marbella’s gorgeous Golden Mile.
Of course, the hot new hangout spot will be anything but ordinary. The Italian fashion house has completely reimagined the resort’s existing Chiringuito beach club, updating the décor with vibrant colors and prints that nod to Fendi’s astrology-themed summer capsule collection.
The 2023 collection takes inspiration from the Fendi archives; zodiac motifs were first introduced in Spring/ Summer 1990 and expanded upon by Karl Lagerfeld in Spring/Summer 1993. In the latter campaign, top models including Tyra Banks and Helena Christensen donned blue and red-outlined one-piece bathing costumes adorned with zodiac signs in English and Italian.

At the new Fendi Beach Club, expect breezy cabanas and open-air lounges furnished with red-and-white striped tables, placemats and tableware decorated with signs of the zodiac in a nod to the iconic campaigns. Among the swaying palms, you’ll find Instagram-worthy daybeds dotted with red and yellow cushions, soft beach rugs in beige hues, and umbrellas adorned with Fendi’s signature print.
And if you’re hoping to bag yourself some swimwear from the new collection, you’ll be pleased to hear the resort has also opened a pop-up Fendi store over the summer (there’s a newly opened flagship boutique around the corner, too).
“We cannot think of a better way to welcome summer than with our new beach club!” said Gonzalo Rodriquez, general manager at Puente Romano Beach Resort. “It’s a pleasure and honor to collaborate with Fendi.”
Beyond the new Fendi Beach Club, the resort is home to an assortment of gourmet restaurants and bars, a tranquil Six Senses spa, and an expansive health and fitness center with trainers on hand for one-on-one sessions.
