presidential suite living room

Principe di Savoia is said to represent the true spirit of Milan. Its dominating position on the Piazza della Repubblica has been attracting cosmopolitan travelers since the 1920s.

It is walking distance from the city’s cultural sights, including the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, one of the most prestigious shopping arcades in Italy and Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, the most reproduced painting in the world. Expect five-star service and attention to detail throughout as the Principe di Savoia is run by the prestigious Dorchester Group. The 269 rooms and 132 suites have all been carefully and individually designed. The Club 10 Fitness and Beauty Center is one of the finest of its kind in Milan and the hotel’s Acanto Restaurant offers exceptional Italian cuisine from the talented head chef Fabrizia Cadei.

Why we love it: Queen Elizabeth II has stayed here, as have George Clooney, Lenny Kravitz, Woody Allen and many other celebrities and royals. If these names alone are not associated with enough magnificence and grandeur, the Presidential Suite’s luxury interior is sure to satisfy even the most expectant travelers. Grand and majestic, this suite offers three en suite bedrooms, a formal dining room that seats ten and a Pompeian-styled swimming pool. Working fireplaces add to the ambiance and warmth throughout winter, while a private terrace on the hotel’s tenth floor offers a prime view over the rooftops of Milan. Every last detail has been thought through from the Venetian XIX century mirrors to the Murano glass chandeliers and late 19th century prints lining the walls. Its interior aside, you can expect few places to match the suite’s meticulous services: between a 24 hour butler and chauffeur your every whim will be catered for.

The Bulgari is a unique and unexpected destination.

It is found within the historical center of Milan, yet located on a private street stands this renovated 18th century Milanese palazzo with its chic and modern granite, glass and marble interior. Further into the building you will find the beautiful 43,000 square foot private garden, a natural extension of the nearby botanical garden, and an oasis of serenity in the midst of Milan’s busy heart. The Bulgari’s concierge service is fully equipped for Elite Traveler guests. Available 24 hours a day, they can help you organize your trip, such as private visits to villas and museums, hydroplane trips around Lake Como and excursions to Italy’s most exclusive destinations by private plane, limousine or yacht.

Why we love it: The Bulgari Suite enjoys prime location at the top of the hotel and can boast views of the tranquil garden as well as Milan’s historical skyline. An enormous terrace, running the full length, offers fabulous alfresco dining. Presidential suite terrace

Whether you are looking for old world grandeur or the latest couture finds, this historical hotel is located right in the heart of it all.

The Park Hyatt overlooks the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the glass-roofed gallery that has so often symbolised Milan since its construction for the king in 1865. It is also steps away from the famous white marble Duomo Cathedral, Brera Art Gallery and the renowned fashion houses and shops along Via Montenapoleone. With such a prominent position it is impossible to ignore the beautiful history surrounding this exclusive hotel.

Why we love it: One of the best features of this suite is the view from its private terrace – a panoramic vision sweeps across the city to the Alps beyond. There is also stunning decor inside – art by Tancredi Parmeggiani covers the walls, and the living room is furnished with silk and the master bedroom with marble. An ‘in-suite-spa’ combines the bathroom with a steam shower and a whirlpool bath, as well as treatment and fitness equipment, allowing guests to relax in the total privacy of this prestigious suite.

Grand and iconic, Seven Stars Galleria is the only hotel to be located within the historical Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Its service is renowned: each room is attended to by a professional butler who is able to pre-arrange every personal preference, right down to the sort of bed linen and type of pillow, before your arrival. During your stay a limousine with chauffeur will be at your disposal, your wine preferences will be sourced and any literature you wish to read can be provided. The luxury is in the detail.

Why we love it: Before you arrive, your personal butler can source your preferred flowers to adorn the suite and have your favorite cocktails waiting. This single bedroom suite features the best of the building’s neoclassical charm – enormous shuttered windows and decorated ceiling – with Seven Star’s modern decor. Whether you have this suite for the luxury of its space or for entertaining, it features its own lounge and dining room that can seat up to 16 guests.

The location couldn’t be better for those seeking fine Italian fashion, a theme reflected within. Many of the suites and rooms are decorated in original art deco – each is uniquely designed with handmade furniture and colored silks. As for fashionable dining, the Hotel’s Baretto al Baglioni restaurant is often the chosen location for local and international jet setters.

Why we love it: From wicker arm chairs on the private terrace, guests can enjoy the view over Via della Spiga, the most famous shopping street in Milan. lobby and reception , maison moschino

Though housed in the grand neoclassical former railway station, Maison Moschino is perhaps the most eccentric and bizarre building in all of Milan.

The interior is the design of fairy tales, highly abstract and bordering on the surreal. For this reason it is a destination in its own right. Each of the 65 rooms are individually furnished according to the Moschino philosophy that “to sleep is perchance to dream”, so in your room don’t be surprised to find a Little Red Riding Hood wolf staring at you, trees growing up the side of your bed or, quite literally, a bed of roses.

Why we love it: In line with Maison Moschino’s humorous room design, this suite prides itself on its uniqueness rather than its space. Here you will find out-of-size furniture that’s sure to take you by surprise along with other varieties of bizarre objects that make the Junior Suite like none other you will ever find. Distinctively inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the Junior Suite is an exciting place to stay in the heart of Milan.

giuseppe verdi suite

Since its opening almost 150 years ago, high society has been drawn to Grand Hotel et de Milan by its grandeur and old Milanese charm.

It is a stone’s throw away from La Scala and the fashion district surrounding the Duomo cathedral. Despite all its stateliness, the ‘Milan’, as it is known, retains the personal touch as it has been run by the Bertazzoni family for three successive generations, something of a rarity in hotels of this calibre. While some rooms are traditionally furnished with original antiques, others have been inspired by some of the hotel’s bizarre guests and include some fairly eccentric objets d’art.

Why we love it: More a museum piece than a suite, the Giuseppe Verdi Suite is a tribute to the composer who stayed here for 27 years until his death. The neoclassical windows and marble fireplace have remained the same ever since. Staying here will not only make you feel like a late 19th century aristocrat, you’ll also get a completely exclusive insight into Milan’s most famous hero.

Royal suite

Who could have known that a 15th century convent would make such a perfect luxury hotel?

Situated in the heart of Milan, where the financial district meets designer heaven, the Four Seasons offers its trademark lavishness in a beautiful setting. Original frescos can be found around almost every corner and the cool courtyard provides the perfect backdrop to the hotel’s rooms and suites. Royal suite

Why we love it: From the private 377 square foot terrace and garden you can overlook the Duomo Cathedral, its gothic marble spirals providing unique surroundings. The concierge once arranged a candlelit dinner on this terrace, complete with violinist, for a guest who wanted to propose to his girlfriend. There is also a reading room with fireplace and private internal staircase. For yet more space the Royal Suite can be reserved in combination with two further suites located on the floor below to create a three-bedroomed self-contained space.

Presidential Suite , Armani Hotel

Perfectly placed in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, rumor has it that fashion mogul Giorgio Armani himself oversaw every detail of his 95- room hotel to make it the perfect vision of refined taste.

Gleaming black surfaces reflect the elegant interiors in understated shades of cream and beige, giving a highly modern and effortlessly chic ambiance that lives up to its namesake. The hotel restaurant offers superb Italian fare as well as breathtaking views of the city’s skyline, sliced into sections by black slats in the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Why we love it: The height of modern luxury, the Presidential Suite embodies the sensual style of the hotel’s ethos with walls and furnishings glazed in black, marble bathrooms and plush beige sofas. Located on the sixth level, the suite offers the best views of the city from the landscaped terrace which spans the entire length of the suite—the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail from the suite’s full service cocktail bar.
