The wonders of the night sky have long captivated the human mind, from ancient travelers relying on constellations to guide them through troubling oceans to astrologers dictating entire personalities based on horoscope charts. In celebration of the ongoing dramatic influence of the stars on our everyday lives, VistaJet has partnered with Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea to launch A Wayfinder’s Journey.
Part of the aviation company’s new batch of Private World Experiences — its portfolio of once-in-a-lifetime excursions, offered exclusively to VistaJet members — the journey invites guests aboard Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea’s luxury Trilogy catamaran for an immersive evening under the stars.

Hosted by distinguished celestial navigator an Maui native Kala Baybayan Tanaka, the private experience begins with a multi-course dinner by the resort’s executive chef Samual Taganeca, with specialty dishes inspired by canoe plants – a type of edible plant initially transported by boat to the Hawaiian islands by the voyaging Polynesian people.
Tanaka then takes guests on a journey into how her Polynesian ancestors harnessed the guiding powers of the night sky, the swell of the ocean and the ripples of the wind to lead them to discover the Hawaiian islands some thousand-plus years ago.
