The Caribbean’s Baha Mar has announced details of the inaugural Bahamas Culinary Arts and Culture Festival, which will celebrate the best of local and international cuisine across the resort’s 45 restaurants, bars and cafes from October 21-23, 2022.
Events across the three-day festival will be diverse, with celebrations kicking off with a welcome party hosted by Marcus Samuelsson of Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, before a weekend of cooking classes, interactive demos and dining experiences.
As well as Samuelsson, currently announced headliners include Daniel Boulud, who heads up the glamorous Café Boulud at the Rosewood hotel and Dario Cecchini of Carna, who will be joined by TV personality Amanda Freitag and author and restauranteur Carla Hall. Each of the headlining chefs will be hosting bespoke experiences, giving guests a hands-on look at their signature cuisines.

As well as a bounty of food-focused events taking place over the course of the weekend, there will also be immersive art installations, curated by the resort’s executive director of arts and culture, John Cox. With a focus on nurturing the strong community of Bahamian talents, the festival will feature exclusive previews, workshops and discussions by some of the region’s most promising local artists, as well as the chance to witness the live creation of new work inspired by the event.
“We are thrilled to debut The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival at Baha Mar, which will highlight the resort as the culinary, art and cultural destination of choice within the Caribbean,” said Graeme Davis, Baha Mar president. “This premiere event will allow us to showcase the extraordinary culinarians, as well as artistic creativity found both at Baha Mar and throughout The Bahamas joined by international guest stars.
“We envision this festival becoming the leading celebration of food and art in the region, providing locals and visitors with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the island’s rich culture and gastronomic offerings.”
Tickets for the Bahamas Culinary Arts and Culture Festival are available now, ranging from full weekend tickets – which grant access to all events taking place throughout the course of the weekend – to individual tickets to each experience.
