Four Seasons has announced plans for a brand new resort and residential offering in Deer Valley East Village, the first new luxury alpine village to be constructed in North America for over forty years. Working closely with real estate developer Extell Development Company, Four Seasons is looking to help transform Deer Valley’s East Village into one of the US’s premier mountain destinations.
The brand-new luxury site, named Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley will look to bring the elevated service and quality the Four Seasons brand is so highly regarded for, to this new alpine resort.
In total, the new development will include 134 guest rooms and suites, in addition to 123 one to six-bedroom private residences. These private residences will be fully serviced homes that stretch from 1,200 to 7,000 sq ft. Fifty-five of the residences are to be situated above the resort, while an adjacent building will house 68 owner-exclusive units.
“As we grow our iconic mountain collection, we are thrilled to bring Four Seasons to Deer Valley at an exciting time for the acclaimed destination,” said Bart Carnahan, president, global business development, portfolio management and residential at Four Seasons. “By combining our legendary hospitality and residential offerings with this storied mountain setting, we look forward to offering another incomparable luxury retreat with our partners at Extell as they expand Deer Valley for future generations.”
East Village is a new development for Deer Valley and is located at the base of its 3,700-acre ski terrain expansion. The resort extension currently looks set to transform Deer Valley into one of the finest ski resorts in North America, featuring unbeatable access to slopes, advanced ski services, and luxury retail and culinary offerings.
“We believe a successful development results from a team of exceptional partners working together to deliver excellence. We are certain this will be the case with Four Seasons, who we have embarked on several successful projects with in the past,” said Gary Barnett, founder and chairman at Extell Development Company. “We look forward to creating something remarkable with Four Seasons in Deer Valley as well, as we venture to redefine luxury both on the slopes and off at Deer Valley East Village.”

While little information has currently been revealed about this new property, it is understood that rooms and suites will utilize floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies to get guests as close as possible to the area’s impressive topography. Rooms will also feature fireplaces and detailing that evokes the vibe of a classic mountain retreat.
As a luxury resort, guests should expect wellness and fitness facilities that meet and transcend the current standard. The gastronomic offering seems just as diverse with four dining options, including a ski-in/ski-out lounge.
While the winter season is often the focus of a mountain resort, Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley will also be a hub of activity during the summer months, with more than 50 miles of hiking and biking trails, indoor sports courts, outdoor pools in addition to a wealth of entertainment options.
