Setting its eighth world record, Bulgari this year released the Octo Finissimo Ultra. Measuring just 1.80mm thick, it held a world-record spot when it was unveiled in March and held the record up to July 7, when it was beaten. The case is so slim that it is only slightly thicker than a dime. There are eight patents pending for the watch, and it even features a QR code on the barrel's ratchet wheel. It is being sold with exclusive NFT artwork, but just 10 will ever be made. The caliber is built directly into the watch's tungsten carbide caseback.

Each Bulgari creation comes hand-wrapped in a signature box, an outward expression of the care and detail that goes into its production process. Blending Swiss mechanical mastery with Italian design, Bulgari curates charismatic watches of technical splendor and seductive design. Its serpentine watches are an example of this sentiment. Spiraled in a mixture of stainless steel and 18-carat rose gold, the Serpenti Tubogas is sensual and fluid, affording agility coupled with contemporary glamor. This is just one of Bulgari's many epochal creations, however. Unveiled in 2022, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra set a world record by measuring only 1.8mm thick. With only 10 pieces of this slender timepiece made, watch collectors are desperate to get a hold of Bulgari's latest beauty. Encompassing eight different patents and a unique QR code on the barrel's ratchet wheel, the watches were sold alongside exclusive NFT artwork.
