Deeply rooted in Indian culture, fine jewelry brand Ananya celebrates the personal meaning behind jewelry and its power to connect with the wearer. Up until now, Ananya has been focused on its Asia-based clientele but November sees the launch of the fine jewelry brand in London, with two signature collections being introduced first, along with the opportunity to create bespoke items.
The first two collections to arrive—Celestial Lotus and Lotus Samsara—take inspiration from Hindu tradition, combining elements representing Asian philosophy with a minimalist and contemporary style. Through these designs and the meaning behind the stones used, each item has a story to tell.
The first of these, Celestial Lotus, is based on the visual and spiritual form of the lotus flower—a symbol of harmony and consciousness in India—while incorporating red rubies, pink tourmalines, pearls and black diamonds into contemporary geometric designs. Pieces of particular note include a layered ear jacket crafted with white diamonds set into 18K white and rose gold, a pearl ear cuff encompassing round white diamonds and freshwater pearls, and a lotus choker made from 18K white gold with round white diamonds and princess cut white sapphires.
The Lotus Samsara collection then explores the idea of rebirth and discovery that the lotus flower is celebrated for in Buddhist and Hindu culture. The collection’s designs play on the colors of the lotus flower through the use of white and rose gold with white diamonds and pink sapphires, which lie in contrast with black diamonds. Look out for the floating hoops with white diamonds and pink sapphires, and the lotus stud earrings set with black diamonds, which have a black rhodium finish in 18K gold.
The bespoke service brings the Ananya ethos together with your personal preferences and style, and more collections will be debuted in London in spring 2018. Items from the collections are priced from around $530 to $40,000.
