The world’s best-selling, high-performance, single-engine piston aircraft will enter its next reiteration as Cirrus Aircraft announces the release of its SR Series G7.
The company behind the Vision Jet will introduce the new generation in the SR production line, which will feature touchscreen displays, advanced safety systems, improved visibility and enhanced interiors, all seamlessly interconnected with the Cirrus IQ mobile app.

The G7’s simplified flight deck reduces pilot workload while offering enhanced situational awareness, without sacrificing luxurious comfort for both pilot and passenger.
The Cirrus Perspective Touch+ by Garmin is described as “the most advanced flight deck in the industry”, enabling deeper integration of aircraft systems and increasing pilot awareness of aircraft health.
Available in high-resolution 12” or 14” widescreen options, the Perspective Touch+ display also incorporates dual Garmin Touchscreen Controllers, a first for any piston aircraft. Additionally, a CAS-linked checklist and checklist scroll wheel make it easy to navigate through pre-flight requirements, while the taxiway routing and 3D SafeTaxi simplify ground maneuvers.
The Perspective Touch+ display also allows for connectivity with the Cirrus IQ mobile app to streamline checks for key aircraft readiness items, including maintenance, real-time status of fuel and oxygen levels, aircraft location and more.
Not forgetting about the interiors, the cabin remains first-class in comfort, with reimagined interiors that take inspiration from the roads rather than the skies, complete with a new push/start button. The 2024 edition also offers five new exterior and premium interior aesthetic options for those keen to place their orders early.
Yet Cirrus demonstrates that you can have substance and style, as the company that brought the industry-defining Cirrus Airframe Parachute System continues to innovate with safety in mind. The G7 also introduces a stick shaker function to alert pilots of imminent stalls and flap airspeed protection to prevent accidental deployment or retraction of flaps.
As Cirrus’ president of innovation and operations, Pat Waddick, confirmed upon the announcement: “The SR Series G7 adds new avionics and autonomous interfaces, coupled with all-new styling and comfort. It is the culmination of seamless collaboration between customer, innovation and operations to develop an aircraft with technological and generational advancements that make flying truly exceptional for all.”
