The Macallan has partnered with Stella and Mary McCartney on a new homeware collection inspired by their love of Scotland, and a shared drive for a more sustainable world.
Launched in line with the third edition of the popular The Macallan Harmony Collection whisky, the 11-piece lifestyle set is the first creative project the sisters have partnered on. That is despite both excelling in fashion and photography, fields that are closely associated.
Stella and Mary drew inspiration from their personal experiences of Scotland where they spent time in their father’s idyllic home on the west coast. More recently, they visited The Macallan Estate in an attempt to conjure memories of their childhood and get a better sense of the luxury brand’s core principles.

The resulting lifestyle set, coined Together: A Collection for The Macallan by Stella and Mary McCartney, consists of vibrantly colored homeware accessories inspired by nature. The green hues are taken from the minerals and forests of Scotland and the ambers are a nod to whisky’s golden color.

Stella said: “We all – The Macallan, Mary and I – wanted to create a collection that celebrated the highest quality of materials and incredible craftsmanship that would be fitting of the shared values between us all. We envisaged pieces that were limited, yet would work together as a family. The idea was to have it live in your home, stand out, and of course be of the highest quality.”
The set includes a ceramic flask, handmade glassware and a pair of brass ice stamps with meticulously hand-painted ceramic handles. There is also a pair of limited brass framed prints of photos captured by Mary during her time on The Macallan Estate.

It will initially be made available at The Macallan Estate for £10,000 ($12,200) before being rolled out worldwide in limited quantities. It will be available in the US from December.
The Harmony Collection
Complementing the launch, The Macallan also revealed the third edition of the Harmony Collection, including two expressions called Amber Meadow and Green Meadow.
The collection always pushes the boundaries of sustainability. This third edition has used discarded meadow cuttings to create the presentation boxes and bottle labels.
The Green Meadow expression is an ode to late spring and offers lighter floral notes. The Amber Meadow whisky is an ode to the setting sun in high summer and is more rich, with notes of coconut, barley and oak spice.
The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow will be available in the US from early December 2023 for £160/$210. Green Meadow will be available in The Macallan Airport Boutiques and key airports around the world from next year.
