Recognized as one of the largest yachting exhibitions in the world, the Miami International Boat Show is a firm favorite of the yachting world event calendar. And now promising more luxury yachts and VIP experiences than ever before, the 2017 edition is set to be even better.
Taking place from February 16 to 20 at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin, the event will bring yachting enthusiasts together over President’s Day weekend. The focus this year is on catering for the increasing demand for large yachts, with the greatly anticipated addition of a new VIP experience.
A luxury lounge will be central to the new VIP space, which as well as providing upscale dining, evening drinks and live music, will be located on board a 111-foot yacht amid the boats and yachts that are on display at the show. VIP guests can take in the atmosphere of the show from the yacht’s open-air sky deck, enjoy a complimentary massage, or network in the VIP lounge’s on-board bars.
Sea trials, power boating and sailing lessons through Discover Boating Hands-On Skills will all immerse the show’s guests in the excitement of each day, with access to Strictly Sailing Miami at Miamarina at Bayside where around 130 sailboats, a number of catamarans, and the latest sailing gear will be on display. Free water taxis and shuttle buses will transport the show’s ticket holders between the two venues throughout the day.
What’s more, the Miami Boat Show will be set in what’s considered to be one of the city’s most picturesque water-front locations, with a deep water basin that makes it ideal for yachts, and with views over the water of downtown Miami. But of course it’s the boats people primarily come here for, and with more than 1,300 new boats, of which 100 will be luxury yachts, even the highest of expectations will be met. Expect to see appearances by Tiara, Prestige, Riviera and SeaRay, among the vast array of prestigious brands on show.
