With its picture-perfect beaches and untapped natural beauty, Belize has been known to draw discerning travelers and thrill-seeking adventurers to its bright blue shores. But what Belize offers abundance in the way of natural beauty, the luxury landscape has left little to offer for those seeking a soft pillow and down feather bed after a day of exploring. Well, that is all set to change with the opening of Four Seasons Resort Caye Chapel, scheduled for late 2025.

Perched on the edge of the Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, The Great Blue Hole – it’s safe to say that visitors will not have to venture far from Four Seasons comforts to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Belize’s coastline. It also marks an adventure for the brand, too, since Four Seasons Resort Caye Chapel marks the luxury hospitality group’s first private island offering in the Americas.
Kickstarting the adventure early, to get to Caye Chapel, guests will have to take a private jet or speedboat transfer (all organized by Four Seasons) to reach their final destination – a short adventure, granted, since it’s only an eight or 20-minute journey, respectively. Arriving at the Caye Chapel private island, guests will discover the new world of Four Seasons Resort Caye Chapel, a 104-key hotel in addition to the Caye Chapel Golf & Ocean Club, world-class culinary, holistic wellness and entertainment experiences.

While the hotel brings 104 expertly-designed guest rooms and suites – including a collection of 18 overwater bungalows, the first Four Seasons overwater bungalows in the Western Hemisphere – Four Seasons Resort & Private Residences Caye Chapel offers prime ownership opportunity for those looking to put down more permanent island roots. There’s a total of 24 beach and oceanfront residences planned for the resort, spread across the east and west of the island to suit future owners’ preference for unmatched island sunrises or sunsets.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom Four Seasons Private Residence 19 is one of the largest residences available on the island, sitting at 4,807 sq ft – which makes it one of the most expensive, too, with a price tag of $6.5m. The property’s design has been meticulously curated by Mauricio Gomez de Tudo and Taller G, with turn-key interiors crafted by Meyer Davis and Beatriz Peschard Arquitectura.
Every detail is designed to bring the outdoors in, emphasizing natural light and seamless transitions to the exterior. The living spaces are adorned with neutral tones and high-end finishes that reflect the serene beauty of the island, while the design subtly directs attention to the outdoor spaces, ensuring that the breathtaking views are always at the forefront.
Located on the sunset side of the island, the residence offers unobstructed vistas of the surrounding ocean. The expansive outdoor area is a true extension of the living space, featuring a private plunge pool, direct waterfront access, and a series of luxurious amenities including an outdoor kitchen, shower, and fire pits. This design encourages a lifestyle centered around outdoor living, whether it’s enjoying a quiet evening by the pool or hosting guests for an al fresco dinner by the beach.
