The Restaurant
Hambleton Hall, a luxurious hotel and restaurant, graces the peninsula overlooking Rutland Water. Since 1982, the restaurant has maintained one Michelin star, a testament to its consistent culinary excellence. When Tim and Stefa Hart converted the late-Victorian hunting box into a hotel in 1979/80, inspired by Michel Guerard's Les Prés d'Eugénie, they envisioned a destination for exceptional cuisine. Aaron Patterson has helmed the stoves since 1992, crafting accomplished seasonal dishes with a classical foundation and modern touches. Bread is sourced from their own artisan bakery, and the wine list is a labor of love. The idyllic setting and traditionally styled interior enhance the feeling of luxury that pervades this landmark establishment.
