The Restaurant
L'Enclume, situated in a former 13th-century blacksmith's workshop in Cartmel, is the first restaurant outside the South East to achieve the highly coveted three Michelin stars. Chef Simon Rogan's flagship restaurant offers an extraordinary gastronomic vision deeply connected to its twelve-acre "Our Farm," which provides the bedrock of exceptional produce picked daily. The tasting menu showcases locality above all, highlighting the season's best ingredients fashioned with Rogan's culinary alchemy. Every element is prepared with sustainability and maximum flavor in mind. The restaurant's dedication to its surroundings extends beyond the plate, with sixteen individually designed bedrooms dotted around the village, honoring their historic surroundings. L'Enclume retained its three Michelin Stars at the Michelin Guide 2025 ceremony in February.
