As the calendar turns to June, a month that signifies not only the halfway point of the year and the beginning of summer, for the LGBTQ+ community, it also marks the start of Pride Month. Cities around the world will celebrate with parades, parties and protests to mark the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots.
And there’s all the more reason to celebrate this year, as 2024 marks the 25th anniversary since President Bill Clinton first declared that every June in America would be recognized as Pride Month back in 1999. Since then, not only has the holiday come to expand other queer identities, but it has evolved into an international celebration and recognition of LGBTQ+ rights. Major cities worldwide, including London, Paris, Sydney and Berlin, now host annual Pride events throughout the year.
To make the most of the month-long celebrations, Elite Traveler has selected some of the best Pride events and offers in 2024 from our favorite luxury hotels, bars and clubs.
