Earlier this year, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts unveiled the results of its multi-million dollar expansion at its Sharm El Sheikh property on the shores of the Sinai Peninsula. Now, the luxury hotel group has announced plans to dramatically increase its Egypt portfolio, adding two brand-new hotels to its collection.
Slated to open in 2025, Four Seasons New Cairo Capital will be set within 460 acres of lush parkland in the sprawling Madinaty development – a leafy suburb outside the city constructed by Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG).
The new hotel will feature 346 rooms and suites, a waterfront restaurant, bar, tennis court, fitness center and standalone spa with several private treatment rooms. Legendary designer Pierre Yves-Rochon (whose previous projects include the Four Seasons in Paris, Megeve and Florence) is being brought in for the interiors.

Four Seasons New Cairo Capital will also feature a super-exclusive collection of private residences including 107 spacious villas complete with rooftop gardens and private pools.
This isn’t the only new hotel Four Seasons is adding to its Egypt portfolio. The luxury brand has also announced plans to open a second property just south of the historic Luxor Temple on the banks of the Nile. Also set to welcome its first guests in 2025, the hotel will feature 200 guest rooms and suites boasting breathtaking views of the Valley of the Kings and the ancient city of Thebes.
Like the New Cairo outpost, Hotel Luxor will include all the amenities guests expect from a Four Seasons property from gourmet eateries to luxury boutiques.
“Egypt is an important destination in Four Seasons history, as it marked our brand’s entry into the Middle East 22 years ago,” said Bart Carnahan, president for global business development and portfolio management at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
“Our continued expansion illustrates our ongoing commitment to the region, and all that it has to offer for luxury travelers and homeowners. TMG has long been an integral development partner for our projects in Cairo at Nile Plaza, Alexandria at San Stefano and Sharm El Sheikh. We are thrilled to continue our exceptional work together, providing guests and residents in Egypt with unmatched luxury experiences through our collection of new hotel and residential offerings.”
The news comes after Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts doubled the size of its Sharm El Sheikh property earlier this year, adding a host of new recreational facilities, as well as 69 beachfront private residences overlooking the Red Sea.
