Nobu Hospitality is putting the finishing touches to its very first property in Greece, slated to open this spring. The brand new hotel is situated in Imerovigli, a picturesque village of whitewashed houses perched atop Santorini’s caldera cliffs.
Boasting sweeping views of the shimmering Aegean sea, it’s hard to think of a more fitting setting for the global lifestyle brand’s first outpost in Greece. The new property will be easy to reach (just a 20-minute drive from Santorini Airport) and is located along the Oia-Fira hiking trail which leads straight to the island’s buzzing capital.
“Santorini is one of the most highly regarded destinations in the world with its rare beauty, famed for its distinctive cuisine, whitewashed architecture set with a backdrop of steep cliffs and dramatic sunsets lighting the sea and sky,” said Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality. “We look forward to inviting locals and international travelers alike to experience the Nobu lifestyle in this special destination.”

The boutique hotel will have an intimate feel with just 25 stylish rooms and five opulent poolside villas. As you would expect from a Nobu property, everything you can think of is taken care of. Of course, the Santorini iteration will feature a signature Nobu restaurant, where you can enjoy the eatery’s famed Japanese-Peruvian fusion culinary delights.
And when you’re not sipping a cocktail by the infinity pool and soaking up the views, you’ll be able to relax at the full-service spa or drop by at the fitness center for a workout.

Helmed by acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, the luxury hotel brand has been expanding its portfolio at pace since unveiling its first property in Las Vegas just under a decade ago. For its newest hotel in Greece, Nobu Hospitality has entered a long-term management agreement with MonteRock International.
The Santorini outpost will join 25 Nobu properties worldwide, scattered across the globe’s capital cities from London to Los Cabos. Not stopping there, Nobu Hospitality is continuing to bolster its portfolio, with properties in Marrakesh, São Paulo and Hamburg currently under development.
