Projected to open in 2027, Six Senses has announced the company’s latest project, Six Senses Megalonisos, in partnership with Grivalia Hospitality. Named after the island the resort resides upon, it is a mere boat ride away from Rafina port, tucked across the mainland from Athens.
With easy access to the cultural and historical metropolis of the ancient city of Athens, Megalonisos, one of the Petalioi islands, is also an undeniable new destination in its own right. Guests can look forward to the island’s turquoise seas and white sands, with the undiscovered aspect of the island only enhancing the charm.
“Six Senses Megalonisos offers a unique opportunity to step foot on a Greek island that even the Gods left undiscovered,” says Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses. “We look forward to welcoming our guests with emotional hospitality that encompasses pioneering wellness, sustainability and meaningful experiences.”

The resort will feature 75 guest villas along with 20 branded residences. Built in line with the natural structure of the island’s bay, the sun-soaked Six Senses Megalonisos will be perfectly positioned on the island for a plethora of activities to fully immerse oneself within the rugged beauty of Megalonisos, from diving to hiking.
And naturally, being Six Senses, there will be plenty of opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation too.
The hotel will include a boutique, a café and three restaurants, of which one will be all-day dining, one will be a beach bar and grill, and the third will be a sunset bar purposely constructed to make the most of those beloved Greek island vistas.

The resort will also include a Six Senses Spa. A trademark of the luxury hotel brand, it will feature four double sensory suites, a Watsu for hydro therapies and a Hammam for a herbal steam.
“We are delighted to join forces with Six Senses as we share common values in terms of sustainability and well-being,” said George Chryssikos, CEO of Grivalia Hospitality.
“In Grivalia Hospitality, via our investments, we aim to create special and unique hospitality projects and experiences, while at the same time strengthening Greece’s position as a leading destination for luxury tourism and attracting world-class brands that recognize the great potential of our country in the premium hospitality sector.”
