Bulgari has unveiled its most extravagant jewelry collection to date, Aeterna, in celebration of its 140th anniversary. The dazzling collection was celebrated with a star-studded event in Rome, the home of the renowned jewelry Maison.
Aeterna consists of over 500 masterpieces, including high jewelry, watches, bags and fragrances. The pieces blend past, present and future, paying tribute to the Maison’s impressive anniversary, and its ability to reinvent itself and continuously interpret the spirit of each era.
”I’m extremely proud of my creative teams led by Lucia Silvestri and Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, together with our master craftsmen, for having developed the most extraordinary high-end collection ever, not only in Bulgari’s unparalleled 140 years of history but probably overall in the 21st century,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, the CEO of Bulgari Group.

The momentous unveiling took place at the largest baths of ancient Rome, Terme di Diocleziano. The celebration was the first-ever major private event to be hosted at the extraordinary architectural complex, thanks to the unique collaboration between the Italian Culture Ministry and the Fondazione Bulgari.
A favorite luxury brand among celebrities and A-listers, the evening attracted notable attendees and brand ambassadors such as Anne Hathaway, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Liu Yifei, Shu Qi, Hikari Mori, and Alessandro Gassman.
To commemorate the important anniversary, long-time brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas wore the Serpenti Aeterna necklace, the masterpiece of the collection and the most precious high jewelry piece ever crafted by the Roman Maison.
This stunning necklace features seven D flawless diamond drops totaling 140 carats, one for each year of Bulgari’s history, and 698 baguette diamonds weighing 61.81 carats. The impressive creation is the result of over 2,800 hours of meticulous design and craftsmanship.

A bespoke gala dinner was provided by Italian Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Alajamo, with pre-dinner entertainment by celebrated dancers Sabeck Berrabah and Eleonora Abbagnato, the director of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. After dinner, guests were treated to a live performance by international star Elisa.
To further mark the celebrated occasion, Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis’ “Vista Aeterna” was gifted to the city of Rome under the patronage of the Fondazione Bulgari. The artwork offers a contemporary imagination of Rome’s urban landscapes, featuring twelve travertine-based pillars decorated with rotating colored mirrors. The immersive installation will be on display at Piazza di Spagna from May 19 – June 15.
