Gordon Ramsay to Open London’s Highest Restaurant

The five new culinary experiences will be opening in February 2025 at 22 Bishopsgate, one of London’s tallest office buildings.

By Toby Louch

Few chefs have managed to reach the true Elysian heights of Gordon Ramsay. From achieving three-star Michelin success at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay back in 2001 — a title the restaurant continues to hold — the chef’s career went stratospheric, ranging from regular TV appearances to countless restaurants. Burgers, pizza, beef Wellington, budget-friendly and fine dining: He’s done it all. But now chef Ramsay is about to embark on a new venture as he prepares to open several new dining experiences at the top of 22 Bishopsgate, one of London’s tallest office buildings.

Totaling five separate culinary experiences, this opening is being positioned as a significant milestone in the history of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and comes following the 25th anniversary of the opening of the original Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

Arriving at 22 Bishopsgate next year is Lucky Cat, Ramsay’s popular Asian-inspired restaurant. Situated on level 60 of the office building, Lucky Cat will be serving up dishes that span right across the diverse Asian culinary scene from dumplings and bao buns to fried tempura and sushi. Diners will also be feasting their eyes on impressive 360-degree views of the British capital. Following the success of Lucky Cat Mayfair, Manchester and Miami, this new location highlights the rise of Ramsay’s Asian-inspired eatery.

Connected to this new restaurant is also the Lucky Cat roof terrace where visitors can sip cocktails 60 stories above the City of London. If they ever get bored of the view, there is entertainment that goes on until 3am.

Taking the elevator one floor down to level 59, diners will arrive at another Ramsay classic: Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. Serving full international fare with everything from chicken wings and fish and chips to tuna tartare and ribs, this restaurant is set to serve something for every palate.

For the full Ramsay experience, diners will be heading to an exclusive 14-seat chef’s table on the 60th floor. Coming directly from the team at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay — the chef’s flagship restaurant — this chef’s table will treat visitors to elevated food at altitude.

Not wanting to leave out those who enjoy having a go in the kitchen themselves, the Gordon Ramsay Academy will also be arriving at 22 Bishopsgate. Here, visitors can hone their skills when it comes to pasta making, or pick up some key tricks when it comes to mixology or the iconic Gordon Ramsay Beef Wellington.

“This is more than just a new opening—it’s a significant milestone for our business,” said Ramsay. “We’re not only launching the highest culinary experiences in London, but also creating a vibrant culinary hub at the incredible 22 Bishopsgate. I’m incredibly grateful to Barclays and all our partners for their support and I’m so proud of the hard work from our teams. I cannot wait to share this unique dining experience with our guests.”
