The Restaurant
In the shadow of the New York Public Library, Sushi Sho presents chef Keiji Nakazawa's mastery. The restaurant, which opened in March 2024, offers an *omakase* tasting menu that unfolds with a dazzling array of fish, shellfish, and vegetables, many aged, fermented, and pickled. Rice is treated with reverence, seasoned to complement the range of fish. The setting features a spacious eight-seat *hinoki* counter flanked by towering ice boxes fronted with carved wood doors, where the kitchen and service teams work in tandem. Sushi Sho earned two Michelin stars in the 2024 Michelin Guide. The pace, breadth, and persistence of excellence will impress even experienced sushi enthusiasts.
