Bulgari Set To Open Resort In The Maldives

Accommodations will include a signature Bulgari Villa on its own private island.

By Svetlana Nartey

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement for a new luxury resort in the Maldives. Bulgari Resort Ranfushi is scheduled to open in 2025 and will be the hotel group’s 13th property.

Resort Ranfushi, meaning Little Gold Island in the Maldivian language, will embody its titular allure. Spread over nearly 50 acres, the resort will feature landscaped gardens enveloped by crystal blue waters and golden sands in addition to an array of luxurious hotel facilities.

The resort, located only 45 minutes from the Maldives’ Malé airport by plane in the Raa Atoll of the Maldives archipelago, will comprise 54 keys. Thirty-three Beach Villas each with their own swimming pool, 20 overwater villas and a Bulgari Villa located on a separate private island make up resort’s accommodation.

All of these properties will adhere to a high standard of sustainability in addition to a neighbouring island that will be made to host nesting bird populations.

As well as promoting green, luxury living, the resort will also encourage both mental and physical wellbeing. In addition to the Bulgari Bar, a Bulgari Spa with an adjacent fitness centre, yoga pavilion, and a private library will be available for guests to use at leisure.

A high-end retail experience will also be on offer, as the resort will include a carefully curated Bulgari boutique and La Galleria, a concept store where a selection of artfully niche design items will be available for purchase.

The resort’s gastronomical scene will also be impeccable. Brought to residents by the three Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, the Italian II Ristorante will provide the best of his culinary genius. Additionally, the two Michelin-starred Chinese fine-dining restaurant Bao Li Xuan (a neighboring favorite of Bulgari Hotel Shanghai); Hōseki, the Japanese concept already present at Bulgari Resort Dubai and the Italian beach food of La Spiaggia will also form Resort Ranfushi’s culinary offering.
