Since 1897, British brand Globe-Trotter has established itself as a stalwart force among not just luggage, but British manufacturing as a whole. Following much the same timeline, British car manufacturer Aston Martin was founded just 16 years later in 1913, similarly rising to great heights and representing British brands on the world stage.
Both bastions of their respective fields, in 2021 Aston Martin Racing joined the Formula 1 circuit for the first time since 1960, re-establishing Aston Martin as a true racing brand. It’s this dedication to excellence that makes this such a perfect collaboration; a match made in British manufacturing heaven.
Anyone lucky enough to have attended a Formula 1 race will tell you that one of the most striking aspects is the sound. Not only can you hear the cars from miles away, but up close it’s more accurate to say you feel the sound it’s so vast. In this release — the second collaboration between the two brands — Globe-Trotter and Aston Martin F1 have attempted to harness the magnificence of that sound and reflect it throughout the five-piece collection.
Across four cases – a 4-wheel carry-on, a check-in, a mini attaché, a miniature case and a luggage tag – the five-piece collection follows a cohesive design language, ensuring carrying multiple versions is always an option. Looking specifically at the cases, each uses a sleek black Vulcanised Fibreboard body complimented by black hardware, with the Globe-Trotter and Aston Martin F1 logos embossed in a vibrant lime.

The most striking detail, the green soundwave that has been screen printed onto each piece, captures the unique audio signature of the AMR24 race car. It’s a bold design choice that certainly makes the cases stand out, yet they remain understated, maintaining both Globe-Trotter and Aston Martin’s timeless luxury feel. The case handles are trimmed in leather dyed British Racing Green, the iconic deep green color that adorned Aston Martins from days gone by.

Available from Wednesday, February 28, the collection has been designed to release in time for the 2024 Formula 1 season to begin, the first race occurring in Bahrain on March 2, 2024.
