In recent years, the world of hypercars has become exceptionally diverse. From fully electric, to plug-in hybrid and entirely combustion-powered, prospective owners have a lot to choose from. They also have to decide which brand to go for; be it one of the well-established greats like Bugatti or Aston Martin, or a newcomer looking to shake things up. One such newcomer is Naran Automotive, positioned as the first hypercar company founded by a hypercar connoisseur. Allocations for their first vehicle have just opened with the Naran hyper-coupé to be soon shown publicly for the first time in Switzerland.
What exactly makes a car a hypercar? Speed, agility, exclusivity, price; the truth is it tends to be an amalgamation of all four with an added dash of audaciousness. Start with the Naran’s five-liter twin-turbo engine that’s capable of producing 1,000 bhp, combined with its racy aesthetic that blends sharp, aggressive lines with subtle curves, and you’re off to the races. The design itself came from a collaboration between Ameerh and Jowyn Wong of WYN Design.
Next, add a starting price tag of just over $2m, plus the fact that only 39 will be produced and the Naran hyper-coupé is certainly ticking a few boxes. However, this fledgling hypercar also has a few tricks up its sleeve that look likely to differentiate the Naran from the competition.

The hypercar lifestyle is a solitary one. The physical limits of power to weight ratio usually restrain these behemoths to just two seats, far from a sociable hobby, the pleasure of experiencing a hypercar is usually limited to a duumvirate. But the Naran hyper-coupé has four seats, which looks likely to make it the fastest non-electric four-seater in the world. At last, the hypercar experience can be enjoyed by a family of four, or perhaps a group of friends.
The second differentiator and perhaps the distilled essence of what Naran Automotive is looking to achieve, is customization. Describing itself as an automotive atelier, this new brand is aiming to take customization further than any other hypercar producer before it.
“Our cars are about indulging our owners in unparalleled tailoring and visceral performance, surpassing all the things they have always dreamed about in a vehicle, in the sense of the aesthetic, luxury and driving experiences,” said founder and CEO Ameerh Naran.

Looking to recreate the timeless beauty of classic supercars, each Naran hypercar will be entirely tailored to the specifications of individual owners. Utilizing state-of-the-art materials, Naran will take a wholly hands-on approach with its customers, allowing the use of artisan materials as owners strive to create their own pieces of automotive art.
Wishing each vehicle to be totally unique to the individual, hyper-coupé acts more like a placeholder, describing the vehicle in a way that’s not set in stone. Eventually, each of the 39 hyper-coupés will be christened by its owner.
The first example of the Naran hyper-coupé is the launch prototype that will be unveiled at The Chedi in Andermatt, Switzerland. Revealing the extent to which these bespoke hypercars can be customized, this launch prototype will feature a ruby-themed exterior finish and cockpit with almond gold accents.

The center console and feature panel of the vehicle were designed by a London College of Fashion alumni and are finished with stone grey and black chrome accents. Soft touch Italian leather and CNC-milled biller aluminum are also on clear display.
Owners, of course, will be able to put their own spin on things, with several early prospective owners requesting marble and granite-like effects and extensive gold leaf trim.
Allocations for the first Naran hypercar are now open with deposits of $376,000 being accepted.
