Qatar Executive Interiors: Fly in Pure Luxury

Across a fleet of 17 aircraft, Qatar Executive seeks to elevate private jet interiors to new heights.

By Toby Louch

There are few things more luxurious than arriving at your destination via a private jet — touching down on the tarmac well-rested and ready to go. While there are several factors that go into ensuring the experience of flying private is as elevated as possible, the standard of your jet’s interior is certainly a key consideration. Qatar Executive — the private charter division of Qatar Airways — is one of the leading providers of private jet hire worldwide and is particularly praised for its elegant interiors.

Across its best-in-class fleet of 17 private jets — comprised of 15 Gulfstream G650ERs and two Airbus A319 Corporate Jets, all of which the company wholly owns — interiors are always at the highest standard.

All Qatar Executive interiors have been designed by its in-house team. As seasoned experts in understanding the wants and needs of their customers, the design team has formulated a fleet of aircraft that match the high expectations of their clientele.

This exemplary standard is also in part thanks to the fact that Qatar Executive’s fleet is incredibly young, its aircraft kitted out with the latest materials, designs and configurations that returning customers have come to expect. As the leading owner-operator of the Gulfstream G650ER, one of the most sought-after private jets in the business, Qatar Executive has certainly set a precedent.

Thanks to technical innovation, newer aircraft possess greater range and faster travel speed, ensuring travelers arrive at their destination quicker than ever. From an interior perspective, they also bring quieter cabins, the G650ER is acoustically insulated resulting in a cabin noise of just 45dB, about the same level as an average at-home conversation.

Newer aircraft are also designed to maintain a lower cabin altitude, greatly improving passenger comfort and sleep during longer flights. So, while a luxurious cabin is enjoyable while you’re in the air, many frequent flyers look to these modern aircraft because of how they feel in the hours after they land.

When it comes to in-flight entertainment, Qatar Executive offers the latest systems, which come loaded with recent film releases, as well as the classics. Passengers are also able to stay up to date with the latest news and live sport.

So, if you choose to fly private with Qatar Executive, what can you expect from the cabin experience?

The leading force within Qatar Executive’s impressive fleet is the Gulfstream G650ER, making up 15 of the 17 aircraft. When it comes to jet interiors, describing the G650ER as impressive would be an understatement. There’s a reason Gulfstreams are so highly regarded.

Everything about the G650ER has been designed around performance and comfort. Resulting in an aircraft that can get you there faster, and more direct – with a range of 6,400 nm at Mach 0.925 to be precise. This high speed and impressive range can result in over an hour saved when compared with commercial flights. Put simply, short of Concorde returning to service, you simply can’t fly faster.

With performance guaranteed, let’s look at comfort. The G650ER’s clean air system delivers 100% fresh air to the cabin every two to three minutes, it also features air-ironizing technology that neutralizes allergens and viruses, ensuring the air inside is as fresh and clean as possible. The high-tech G650ER also utilizes a modern fly-by-wire control system, dampening the effects of turbulence and ensuring a smoother ride for passengers.

Another striking element of this aircraft is the windows. In an industry where design is almost entirely dictated by aerodynamics, it can be difficult for manufacturers to create an instantly recognizable design feature. However, remarkably large oval-shaped windows are an instant giveaway that you’re looking at, or out of, a Gulfstream. The G650ER features 16 of these panoramic portholes, the largest in business aviation, and they flood the cabin with so much light it feels like you are sat outside.

The bright and airy cabin of the G650ER has a capacity of 10 or 13 seats depending on the configuration, more than enough to transport a board of directors or family and friends. The G650ER also allows passengers to connect their own devices. From watching their favorite movies to sharing important presentations with those on board. The aircraft is equipped with 26-inch wall screens and an impressive 32-inch screen that elevates out of the credenza, both of which passengers can connect to. Qatar Executive aircraft also all feature high-speed internet, free of charge as standard for passengers.

For longer flights, the aircraft is capable of sleeping up to six individuals in lie-flat beds. This is thanks to a divan bed and its plush seats which can be converted into fully flat beds. The aircraft also features two generously sized restrooms.

The service passengers receive is an essential part of any private jet experience and an integral part of aircraft comfort, which is exactly why the G650ER features a fully equipped galley that enables the crew to deliver an experience that’s set to be remembered.

If you’re looking to push the limits of jet interior quality and capability, the Gulfstream G650ER is certainly the way to go. A true experience to behold while airborne, the majority of the benefits come once passengers have landed. The constant fresh air, low cabin pressure, extensive sleeping options and high speed, mean passengers arrive feeling far less fatigued than if they had taken a standard commercial flight.

As the world’s largest commercial operator of the G650ER type, Qatar Executive should certainly be on your radar.

In addition to the G650ER, Qatar Executive also owns two Airbus A319CJ’s. The first thing you will notice about these aircraft is the impressively large interior, so large they barely look like private jets. That’s because these aircraft are essentially commercial airliners that have been converted into a private jet format, so now instead of carrying around 150 passengers, they carry 19 in exquisite luxury.

While slightly shorter than the commercial A319, this variant holds a greater range allowing it to fly passengers 2,800 nm non-stop, placing direct flights from the Middle East to Europe, or America to Europe well within its capabilities.

Thanks to its larger size, the interior of Qatar Executives Airbus A319CJ is split into three sections. The first, towards the front of the aircraft, is a VIP bedroom and bathroom area, creating unrivaled privacy for certain passengers. This section is followed by an equally elevated VIP section, comprised of eight spacious seats split into two sets of four seats around two large tables. The rear of the aircraft possesses a business class style layout, so even those not sat in VIP will still be traveling in the utmost comfort.

Qatar Executive’s fleet of 17 aircraft covers all the requirements of even the most decerning travelers, from family holidays to national delegations their aircraft feature interiors that push the standards of private jet travel to new heights.
